General corrosion of SS 904L is less than SS 904, and is resistance to a range of corrosive media. SS 904L Threaded Tee Pipe Fittings is used where resistance to inter — granular corrosion is required and where the parts are subjected to sustain heating or cooling within the range 800 Deg F to 1500 Deg F.

Grade 904L also have a high resistance to pitting in chloride solutions, a high resistance to both crevice and stress corrosion cracking. Alloy 904L Threaded Pipe Fittings performs better than other austenitic Stainless Steels due to the higher alloying of nickel and molybdenum. 904L Threaded Fittings are non-magnetic in all conditions and has excellent formability and weldability.
